The Government of Uganda threatens to arrest TUSAPA officials for their continued promotion of gay activities in Uganda. The Government has banned also the proposed international dialogue against Anti-Homosexuality Bill2009 which would demand for recognizing  gay rights movement in Uganda. TUSAPA also demand the Government to stop torture and discrimination of LGB&T and call the public to stop discriminating and killing  gay people. TUSAPA's senior LGB&T advocate(Johnson K)  is on run now after the police issued an arrest for him and after being beaten by the mob recently. Gay people in Uganda continue to face extreme torture, detention, killing and discrimination from the communities within Uganda but the government continuously putting pressure on activists yet the community they live in is also very futile.

INTRODUCTION- JOIN THE CAMPAIGN TO FIGHT HOMOPHOBIA AND TRANSPHOBIA IN UGANDA. BE PART OF THIS INTERNATIONAL DIALOGUE

Though Uganda has managed to progress elsewhere like fighting HIV/AIDS, wars and moderate democracy, Human rights violation is still very rampant in the country.  People are always criticized, imprisoned, murdered because of their sexual orientation. The LGBT people can hardly access health services when needed due to the fear to be criticized, imprisoned, murdered and stigmatized.  It is being estimated that currently Uganda has more than half a million (500,000) of gay people but live in isolation and hideouts due to fear for their lives.
